FAQs

Getting started

Start your 7-day free trial on our membership page. You’ll get full access to every course straight away, and nothing is charged until day 8. After you sign up, a short questionnaire points you to courses that suit your role and the clients you see most.

We’ve trained more than 65,000 mental health professionals since 2001, and our courses are taught by the people leading their fields, including authors, researchers and practising clinicians. Organisations like Lifeline, Mind Australia, Centrelink, Life Without Barriers and UnitingCare have trusted us to train their teams. Every course is built around practical skills you can use in your next session.

No, anyone can enroll in our courses. While you don’t need to be a mental health professional, our courses are specifically designed and pitched for mental health practitioners.

Yes. The 7-day free trial gives you full access to the whole library, so you can sample different topics and presenters before you commit. Cancel any time in the first 7 days and you won’t be charged. The free trial is limited to one per person.

Course Access & Technology

There’s no deadline. All courses are self-paced, so you can start, pause and come back whenever it suits you. While your membership is active, you can access every course in the library and revisit lessons as often as you like.

Yes, you can login and complete courses on desktop, mobile devices, or tablets, allowing you to learn anytime, anywhere that suits your schedule. Your progress syncs across devices, so you can start on one and finish on another.

Technical difficulties are rare, but if you do experience issues, the best option is to call us during office hours and we can troubleshoot for you. You can also email us at info@tatratraining.com and we will get back to you quickly to help resolve the issue.

No special software is required. All courses are accessible via your computer or mobile browser, and we also have a mobile app for a more seamless mobile experience.

You can download course materials such as course notes, slides, or workbooks that come with your course. However, you do need an internet connection to access the course videos.

We add new courses every month and occasionally retire older ones, so the library stays current. If you bought a course individually, you keep access to it even if it’s removed from the membership library.

CPD & Professional Recognition

Our courses are generally suitable for CPD for psychologists, counsellors and psychotherapists, social workers, community workers, mental health nurses, GPs and occupational therapists. Each course comes with a certificate showing your name, the course title and CPD hours. CPD requirements vary between professional bodies, so please check with your association or registration body to confirm what you can claim and what evidence they need.

Our courses meet the requirements of major professional bodies including the Psychology Board of Australia, Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Australian Counselling Association (ACA), and other relevant mental health professional organisations.

CPD hours are listed on each course page, so you’ll know exactly how many hours you’ll receive before enrolling.

Membership and billing

Unlimited access to every course in the library, all 50+ presenters, every new course we add, and a CPD certificate for each course you complete.

Both give you exactly the same access. The difference is how you pay.

  • Annual: $495 paid upfront for 12 months. That works out to 3 months free compared with paying monthly.
  • Monthly: $55 a month over 12 payments. This is a 12-month plan, so payments continue until the 12th.

Both start with the same 7-day free trial.

On day 8, your first payment is taken and your membership begins. For the annual plan, that’s a single payment for 12 months. For the monthly plan, it’s the first of 12 monthly payments.

Yes. Annual memberships renew for another 12 months unless you cancel before your renewal date. Monthly memberships continue month to month after your 12th payment, and you can cancel at any time from then on. We’ll email you at least 7 days before any renewal so there are no surprises.

Go to the “My Membership” tab in your student dashboard. You don’t need to contact us. Annual memberships stay active until the end of the 12 months you’ve paid for. Monthly memberships can be cancelled during the trial or any time after your 12th payment.

You can cancel during your 7-day free trial at no cost. After the trial, membership fees aren’t refundable, but if you’re facing genuine hardship or extenuating circumstances, contact us and we’ll consider your situation.

For individual course purchases, we offer a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you’ve completed less than 25% of the course. Refunds aren’t available once a course is completed and a certificate issued. These policies don’t affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law. See our Terms and Conditions for full details.
