About Me

Long-term relationships that have lost their spark, couples stuck in destructive patterns, or individuals seeking deeper meaning in love and life need more than surface-level interventions – they need practitioners who understand how to cultivate mindful, conscious partnership. Nedra Fetterman has spent over four decades mastering the art of transformative relationship work, becoming one of the most respected trainers in the Imago community and a “Love Mentor” who helps people live and love with full awareness.

As Principal of The Relationship Center in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, and Faculty Member of the International Imago Training Institute since 1994, Dr. Fetterman represents decades of wisdom in helping couples move from conflict to connection. Her Clinical Associate position at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and 40+ years in private practice demonstrate her commitment to bridging academic rigor with real-world relationship healing. Her recent focus on “living and love mindfully” reflects an evolution toward helping people not just fix their relationships, but transform how they approach love itself.

Dr. Fetterman’s expertise spans Imago Relationship Therapy, couples therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, mindful living practices, and what she calls “love mentoring.” Her approach integrates traditional therapeutic techniques with mindfulness principles, showing couples how to create conscious partnerships that grow stronger over time. She specialises in helping long-term couples rediscover intimacy, individuals preparing for conscious partnership, and practitioners who want to deepen their own relationship work.

What sets her training apart is lived wisdom combined with clinical expertise. Married for 40+ years and mother to filmmaker Ben Fetterman, Dr. Fetterman brings authentic understanding of long-term partnership challenges to her work. Her entrepreneurial venture co-founding ONO Bakery with her husband demonstrates her belief in creating meaning and purpose together – principles she integrates into her therapeutic approach.

For your practice, expect to gain advanced Imago dialogue techniques, tools for helping couples cultivate mindful love, and frameworks for supporting long-term relationship growth. Her approach particularly benefits clinicians working with established couples, individuals seeking conscious partnership, or practitioners wanting to integrate mindfulness into couples work.

Quick Win: Dr. Fetterman’s “Blueprints for Wholeness and Growth” technique helps couples quickly identify their unique relationship strengths and growth edges – often shifting focus from problems to possibilities in the first session.
